All the teams made good use of the chance to finalise their squads at the Indian Premier League Auction 2019 as Jaydev Unadkat and Varun Chakravarthy became the joint most expensive players to be sold for Rs 8.4 crore to Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab respectively.
KXIP also added Sam Curran to their squad for Rs 7.20 crore while Colin Ingram went to Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.40 crore. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders won the bidding war for Carlos Brathwaite for Rs 5 crore. Axar Patel was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs 5 crore while CSK went all out to add bowler Mohit Sharma for Rs 5 crore. Shivam Dube went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 5 crore.
